In 2021 we formed our second company – a partnership called Fitness Is Medicine, headquartered in Margate, FL.  Fitness Is Medicine delivers both clinical outcomes and program management to our clients.  This entails day to day operations assistance, licensing and contract agreements, and advanced education programming.  Our goal is to move health clubs, YMCAs, and recreation centers into health care by starting programs for persons with medical conditions and working with medical fitness centers to enhance their outcomes and programs through partnerships and medical research.  Our first client:  The Perfect Step spinal cord rehabilitation center in California, is regarded as the leading program of its kind in the US.  We’re starting at the top and will push the envelope to align fitness with healthcare. 

FIM uses medically integrated services for health clubs and medical fitness centers.  On the clinical side we offer programs for most types of medical conditions (cancer, diabetes, hypertension, obesity, fall prevention, etc.) and on the operations side we help centers put together operations programs such as pro formas and business models, and enhance their clinical education and CEU programs.  On the data side, we again work with Welld Health using the Healthy Stats clinical outcomes software platform.  Contact Eric for more information on Fitness Is Medicine.
